Burnin' Up!

Today was a totally heaty hot day. Since i was sick and tired of the extreme cold in almost all of my classes, i wore sweatshirt under my uniform shirt. I thought i was late for the bus becuase i was yanking on my uniform shirt at 6:47 and the bus comes at 6:50, sometimes on the dot. So i dashed out the door, pulling my belt through my belt loops and half jogging down the street. It was an abnormally warm morning, even for us folks in Lousiana. So i had a sheen of sweat of my forehead by the time i reached the bus stop. The bus didnt arrive till 7:00 and i was kinda ticked. When i got to the school i went to the yard where everyone is supposed to wait till the bell, the yard was smokin hot and i was sure it wasnt just me. I was nervous because i thought i would smell by the time i got in class, but i was fine. I dont know, maybe they dont like me, or it was a major coincidence, but all my teachers seemed to have all their air conditioners off. It was so fustrating. So by the time i sweated my way to lunch i realized with relief the that cafe' was cold, so i tried to prolong my stay their as much as possible. But soon i ran out of food and was ran out. I went tothe library to drop off my book and check out another, but it was warm in their as well. Just my luck. So when the final bell rang, i zoomed to my bus eager to remove at least of my shirts. I plopped down in my steamy vinyl bus seat and practicaly tore off my uniform shirt and pushed my sweat shirt sleeves up to my shoulders. I slumped and stayed as far wawy form the window as possible. When i made it home, i turned the fan on high and almost stuck my face in the spinning blades. I took a cold bath and wore tiny shorts and a tank top. I'm still wearing my shorts and my tank and i am mighty comfortable! I will no longer wear that darned sweatshirt! In other news, we have a tropical storm/hurricane is possibly heading our way. Named Gustav. I have no intentions of evacutating , because if i do the only place i could go would be Mississippi and it is excruciatingly boring in the country, or at least Boyle county where my aunt stays. I would like to saty home and look out the window while a Wal-Mart blows past my house. Well, that's all i have to say for now, so...

Peace Out,
N u g g e t
